Rural wycinanki artists in Poland used the kodra, or scene, to depict activities and celebrations in their life, and I do the same from my SW Louisiana home. This original piece depicts a crawfish boat checking traps, with a crawfish looking on from the levee. Black ibis fly above the boat. This scene is entirely cut from paper, cut with scissors, in the Polish folk tradition of wycinanki. The piece is signed by the artist, and framed. The art itself is 12 inches tall and 24 inches wide.
