If you’ve ever been to Cajun country, you know you don’t have to try too hard to find a good time! Blackpot Camp is an annual gathering of musicians to celebrate Cajun culture through music, food, and dance. I used the traditional wycinanki kodra or scene motif to celebrate it in my own way. Here you’ll see some familiar faces, and some new, just like at Blackpot Camp. This scene is entirely cut out of paper with scissors, in the Polish folk art tradition of wycinanki. This piece is 14 inches tall and a whopping 40 inches wide, framed, and signed by the artist, Sam Wróbel.
